Abortion is very common in cavies specially young sows or obese sows, there are also several causes related to abortion. READ PLEASE!! -Vitamin C deficiency (known as scurvy) -Age (the sow is too young or too old) -Bacterial infections -Viral infections (herpes) -Ketosis or pregnancy toxemia -Obesity -Stress -Fright -Living with an aggressive boar -excessive or rough handling -Changes in environment
