When taking your cavy outdoors, always give them fresh water to maintain his body temperature cool. Keep your cavy in a place when the sun is not constantly hitting the piggy, provide a hidey house or any other object used by piggies to hide. If you cavy's body gets too hot he/she will develop heat stress which can be very uncomfortable to the cavy and fatal. The cavy can become ill and will likely develop health problems. The maximum temperature for a guinea pig to be safe outdoors is between 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit, if the temperature is above those limits DO NOT take your cavy outdoors, this can be FATAL.
