Is aspen, carefresh, and paper based cat litter all ok for cavies? What bedding do you recommend?

I will recommend carefresh. I use it for my piggies. If you build a cage with resonable dimmensions for three cavies you will be spending a lot of money in bedding, I will recommend you to try fleece its cheaper and it can be helpful to avoid bedding allergies.

Your welcome, I do have to say that with fleece you will have to clean the cage 2-3 a day depending on the cage(s) size, but I think it's worth it. I must say that to absorb the pee you might want to put some layers of towels and on top fleece. That should work, or if you like to stick with the bedding carefresh would be ok. Laughing Wink

I use shavings and hay for my piggies bedding. They always look nice and cosy when they are snuggled up in it. It is cheap if you buy in bales. I find that I only need to clean them out once a week.

Well some say it is dangerous and some say it is not. I have never experienced any difficulties using it, but I am always aware of any respiration, alergies and other types of disorders.

Well, everytime I bath by babies they like to pull the little hairs that the towels have, but fleece does not has hair so they're not able to pull anything I think that people who uses flece put the towels under the flece Wink
