New Here

Well, I am relatively new to cavies, so I am searching to make sure that I have the most accurate information possible. I have not had a chance to read through everything yet. I have to say that the grammar and content are a little off-putting. As a high school English teacher, things like bad grammar and spelling tend to jump out at me. It is one thing for posts to contain glaring instances of illiteracy, but when the home page and rules sections are so chock full of blatantly poorly worded sentences and such completely awful spelling, I can't say that I feel like reading anymore. Might I suggest a little spell checking once in awhile? God, if they only made red pens for the internet.

Maybe that should be done in a PM not on a public board?

Oh dear that is not a very friendly introduction is it , you really should be more diplomayic English Teecher we are not alll very good at speling

I'm all for happy and fun, but one has to wonder if the staff cannot even bother to run a spell check or break open a book to address even the most basic grammar before writing rules, how much reading did they honestly bother to do before posting all of the care information? They are allowing a mod to openly post about breeding her two year-old fat sow when she has already rehomed several of her pigs and cannot even afford to feed them half the time, much less the cost of emergency vet care.

Please do. Most of them need it; however, I can safely say that most of them write better than the staff here. I did not realize that being truthful equated to rudeness. I hope the praying cavy never dyes his hair green. The church would certainly frown upon that.

Well I know a lot about cavies. Apparently, partical information is okay though. Your tone isn't very nice. I also don't think BJ refers to the worlds oldest profession, she is obviously BJ's mom, duhhhh!
